Gene Goodin memorial service

Dear Friends,

It was with sadness, but hearts full of gratitude, that Rupali and I received the news from Chris Coons recently that our beloved Gene Goodin went to be with the Lord. When I was pastor at PBPC (1992-2002), Gene was a personal friend and regular prayer partner. Without fail, he would gather with a small group of us in my office on Wednesdays and pray for the church, its people, and its ministries. Gene was faithfulness personified. He had strength and gentleness in a beautiful balance. He was a gentleman. And he was thoughtful: he continued to send us birthday cards every year up until he died (and that's almost 18 years since we departed PBPC!). We will miss Gene and he will be among those we're most excited to see again when we go to heaven.
